Alaska computer programmer training

Alaska Computer Training News: Just returning from a short vacation in Seward, Alaska (where I just discovered the best restaurant in Seward, Alaska), I was curious about the state of computer programmer training courses in Alaska. After looking around for a while, I'm glad to see that the University of Alaska, Fairbanks offers a Computer Science curriculum. From the courses listed it looks like you can get a decent computer programming education there if you apply yourself.

With a very different looking website, the University of Alaska, Anchorage also offers what they call a Computer Systems Engineering curriculum. While it's worded differently than the Fairbanks website, it looks like a decent computer programmer training curriculum as well.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I was very disappointed to see that there is no computer programmer training offered at all at the Mat-Su Valley College, which is located between Palmer and Wasilla, Alaska. They offer some "computer" training courses, but nothing at all in the computer programming area.

As I've written here before, computer programmer training is important to me, and I'd like to do what I can to help improve the state of computer programmer training in Alaska.
